John Anderson is the founder of Ponderosa Economics. The firm works across New Mexico — John's home state — and Eastern Washington, and takes on engagements anywhere in the U.S. Before starting Ponderosa Economics, John worked as an associate at a private equity firm, where he led underwriting and research on a masterplan development and on potential small business acquisitions. He also helped restructure assets — including standing up a new brokerage team and operating systems — and supported asset management for a large hospitality portfolio, while contributing to underwriting across industrial, retail, hospitality, and multifamily deals. John graduated magna cum laude from William & Mary with a degree in Finance.
